Bible Study
There are bible studies in various locations around the church. These are great places to get to know other people from the church and to dive deep into God’s truth. We encourage all people regardless of age or background to come along and share in these communities and support one another through the trials and struggles of life. Feel free to contact the church to find out more.
Preaching
It might be fair to say that Paul’s letter to the church in Rome is the most influential book in the history of the church, if not the world! Bold claim, but when you realise that God has used this text to awaken movements such as the Reformation, Wesleyan Methodism, and the move away from theological liberalism in the early-mid 20th century, it might not be bold enough. Rome was the most powerful and influential city in the Empire and considered…
Children
Children are vital members of our Sunday services! We love to have the children involved in our family worship from week to week and actively look for ways to include and engage them. We believe that parents are the primary shepherds of their children and so our program is geared to aid families as they seek to raise their children in the gospel. During the Sunday sermon, we set aside a time for Primary School aged children to dive deeper…
Sunday Mornings
Every Sunday Morning we gather together to celebrate the goodness of our God in song, hear the Bible taught to us, love and care for one another, rejoice with one another, weep with one another, and remind one another of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our Sunday services are a place where anyone can come to find out what a life of following Jesus looks like, so all are welcome to come and share with us. We meet from 9:30am…
New Testament in One Year
As Christians, reading the Bible is one of those things that I think we know we should be doing, but too often our best intentions get railroaded by the busyness of life. Things like this and the urgency of all the little notifications that pop up on it get in our way… Then, before we know it, another day has gone by with very little genuine connection with our God. I reckon many of us know this wrestle all too…
Membership
The New Testament makes it pretty clear that all those who trust in Jesus are part of His Church! This means that the church is made up of all believers in Jesus, from every part of the world, throughout all time – a stunningly big community! However, it is impossible for all these people to gather in one place and one time here on earth. So, this glorious community expresses itself through local congregations all over the world. Groups of…
Rosalie Village Life
We reckon Rosalie Baptist is located in Brisbane’s best suburb. Tree-lined streets and a warm, friendly village atmosphere typify the Paddington/Rosalie community. It doesn’t take long to realise you are in a special part of our city with iconic Brisbane landmarks just about everywhere you look. Government House is just up the road and we are not far from Caxton Street, the famous brewery and the Lang Park precinct; home of NRL, Rugby Union, A-League and huge stadium concerts. The…
Why Church?
To some people the word church conjures up images of mighty cathedrals in historic locations or maybe quaint country chapels. Others might think of Popes and Cardinals dressed in opulent robes presiding over religious rituals in Latin. Still others might think of the mega churches with huge stadium-like auditoriums and booming music. The reality is that regardless of what you think about church for many people in our society it has become increasingly irrelevant. But I fear that people have…
